Overview

While working at Epimed as a web developer I also led the development and implementation of PainCast, a secure, member-only website designed to provide physicians with access to instructional videos and educational resources. Built on WordPress, the site was developed with a focus on functionality, user experience, and security. Using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap, I created a responsive and visually appealing design that maintained a professional look while ensuring ease of navigation for busy medical professionals.

A key aspect of the project was building a secure, members-only access system using PHP integrated into the WordPress backend. This implementation allowed for controlled access to premium content, ensuring that only authorized users could view instructional videos and materials. By leveraging PHP, I was able to create custom membership logic and permissions that aligned with the site’s goals of exclusivity and privacy.

In addition to development, I provided ongoing maintenance and updates to ensure the platform’s stability, security, and performance. I collaborated with content creators and stakeholders to regularly update instructional videos and resources, ensuring the site remained a valuable and up-to-date tool for its audience.

This project highlights my ability to develop secure, membership-based platforms and demonstrates my expertise in integrating front-end design with custom back-end functionality. It also underscores my skills in WordPress customization, PHP programming, and responsive web design, providing PainCast with a reliable platform to support professional development and education in the medical field.
